Schreiner Jewelry

Schreiner jewelry was first created in 1939 and continued production until the early 1970s. This fabulous jewelry is especially known for use of upside-down chaton stones. Schreiner jewelry was never mass-produced, and is now very collectible.

This is a gorgeous vintage Schreiner brooch, featuring opaque gold and clear gold Chaton cut rhinestones, accented with Aurora Borealis and clear stones. When worn, reflects light beautifully and will add sparkle to your appearance! Brooch measures 2-1/4" in diameter. Can be worn as brooch or pendanct (with additional hook on back). Signed Schreiner New York. In very good condition and very collectible.

SOLD Bold & Dramatic! Vintage Amethyst, Rootbeer & Peridot Domed Snail Brooch-Schreiner!

This is a favorite vintage brooch of mine-the style and colors are so dramatic. The style of reverse (upside-down Chaton stones, with pointed ends on top) was used by Schreiner, perhaps an unsigned piece from this designer? Brooch can seen on page 55 of Marcia Brown's book Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry. With a domed shape, this colorful and substantial brooch is covered with Chaton Cut stones of amethyst and Peridot with two rows of Rootbeer stones, prong set in a Japanned setting. Stones are reversed, with faceted edges. This unsigned Schreiner brooch measures 2" x 1-1/2" in diameter and is 1-1/4" high. Unsigned, designer quality. Clearly a remarkable piece. Add this wonderful brooch to your wardrobe & jewelry box.
